Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad The Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad, which means the Way of the Eternal, is the holy book of Eckankar. The Shariyat takes up and discusses every phase of life in both the worlds of matter and the highest planes.

There are twelve volumes. Sections of the Shariyat are kept in each of the Golden Wisdom Temples, beginning on Earth and continuing on each spiritual plane upward into the very heart of the Kingdom of God.

At each Temple, a particular ECK Master serves as guardian and preceptor of the sacred writings in his charge.

Accessing the Shariyat

These ancient scriptures can be spoken and written in the lower worlds, but in the higher worlds, it is only the heavenly white music.

Two volumes of the Shariyat have been transcribed from the inner planes and are available in print as The Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad, Books One and Two.

Only a small part of the whole Shariyat can be, or ever has been, put into the printed word. Most of it comes straight into the individual during the Spiritual Exercises of ECK as the Living Word, the Light and Sound of ECK.

Chelas can also study these great scriptures in the dream state or via Soul Travel. The guidance of the Mahanta, the Inner Master, is key to any true understanding of the Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad.

The Living ECK Master turns the chela over to the ECK Master in charge of the Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad on the chela's plane of initiation to be given the golden wisdoms.

History and Contents

The Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad is said to have been known in antediluvian times, and before that on the continents known as Lemuria and Atlantis.

On Earth, only the Katsupari Monastery, in northern Tibet, and the Temple of Gare-Hira, in Agam Des, have these writings in their keeping. At the Faqiti Monastery, an introduction to the Shariyat is taught by ECK Master Banjani.

Other sections of the Shariyat are located on other planets and on other planes beyond this world.

Each of the twelve books of the Shariyat contains twelve to fifteen chapters, each of about thirty thousand words. Much of it is made up of cantos, or what we call verse in dialogue form.

Not all the writings is made up of cantos or free verse. Often it is straight narrative, or legends and stories. Sometimes it is allegories or fables. But altogether it is the whole truth, concise in all its parts, and tells everyone what life really consists of and how to live it.

The Word of God

The Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad contains the the wisdom and ecstatic knowledge of the spiritual worlds beyond the regions of time and space. To read and study this inspired book will give you insight into the scriptures found in the Temples of Golden Wisdom from which these teachings emanate.

The essence of God knowledge is laid down here. Those who follow ECK are involved in these writings of golden wisdom. The Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad is their bible, their everlasting gospel.

There has probably never been a greater gift from Eckankar to the world. One will find within the pages of the Shariyat an answer to every question man has ever devised to ask of any greater ones. All that which is truth is here now, within its pages.
