Chela

chela(s) (CHEE-lah) A chela is a student of Eckankar, a disciple (follower) of the Living ECK Master.

Formally, this is a spiritual student (ECKist or member) who has enrolled in Eckankar's Spiritual Living Courses. Chelas study under the Living ECK Master and become eligible for initiations. They can work within the spiritual hierarchy, serving the cause of ECK.

The laws and rules for the ECK chela are simple. These are to practice the four disciplines of ECK, which give harmony, purity, and perfection of Soul. This constitutes heaven while in the Physical body.
