Living ECK Master

Living ECK Master The Mahanta, the Living ECK Master is the spiritual leader of Eckankar, the Vi-Guru, the Godman, the Living Word.

He is the ECK personified, the living embodiment of all that is spiritual - the spirit of life that lies dormant in others. The Living ECK Master transcends time, space, and causation, holding the past, present, and future in the palm of his hand.

The sole purpose of the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master is to help Soul find Its way home to God.

The world is never without a Living ECK Master. The Mahanta can only be embodied in the Living ECK Master. The Mahanta, the Living ECK Master is the spiritual head of the Ancient Order of the Vairagis.

Two Sides of the Master

The two sides of the Living ECK Master are known as the Inner and Outer Master. The Outer Master provides the outer teachings such as the ECK Spiritual Living Courses and books.

Yet the greater part is the Inner Master, the Mahanta. Like the air you breathe, he is everywhere. As the ECK, he can easily be with all his chelas at the same time.

The Inner and Outer Master are manifestations of the ECK force in the individual's life. The combination of the two releases the power of divine love, which begins like a small flame that grows until it consumes the whole heart.

Lineage

All Living ECK Masters trace their lineage to the first ECK Master, Gakko. Some have been married, others single. They serve the ECK faithfully, giving their lives to It. A Soul in training for the role of the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master enters this life as a male due to the arrangement of atoms.

Each Living ECK Master appoints his successor and the transition is marked by the passing of the Rod of ECK Power.
