Guardian

guardian(s) In the works of Eckankar, certain ECK Masters are referred to as guardians of Golden Wisdom Temples or of the Shariyat-Ki-Sugmad. This guardianship is one and the same.

The Temples of Golden Wisdom, here and there, operate as an expression of love for Sugmad. It's a very matter-of-fact universe.

Assistants

Though in many cases it sounds like a one-man show, the ECK Master in charge is like the chief executive officer (CEO) of a modern organization. He runs an entire staff. It includes the assistance of other ECK Masters who help him with the normal duties one would expect in a spiritual and administrative center.

Some ECK Masters at a Temple of Golden Wisdom serve in more than one capacity. For example, a keeper of records may double as an Arahata, while a master gardener may be equally adept as one who specializes in teaching a course in spiritual ethics.

Roles for ECK Initiates

There are also other ECK Initiates on staff who carry out things that need doing. Yes, someone even cleans the floors. Another initiate is an expert at inventory control. And there are receptionists and secretaries, as well as those who prepare food.

Some who hear of these daily workings may think such duties are unspiritual. Be that as it may. But remember that earth is a reflection of what is above. So look around. The interests and pursuits of things around us have a model on the higher planes.
