Ancient Order of the Vairagi

Vairagi(s), Ancient Order of the This is the brotherhood of ECK Masters, also called Vairagi Adepts or simply the Vairagis (vairag means detachment).

It is the only pure line of spiritual Adepts and has been unbroken since before the beginning of time. The Mahanta, the Living ECK Master is the head of the Vairagi Order, and the missions of all ECK Masters are aligned with his.

The existence of this order has been known to mystics and occultists in every age. Yet for centuries, since the beginning of this world, the ECK Masters have kept themselves well hidden from human eyes and ears in order to fulfill their missions.

The Mahanta, the Living ECK Master, as well as the Order of the Vairagi, has been the chief factor in producing all civilizations, including the present modern civilization. Those who have done the most for the human race in the intellectual and spiritual aspects, as well as its material life, have been the ECK Masters of the Ancient Order of the Vairagi.

But nothing other than giving the human race spiritual upliftment has ever been the aim of the ECK Masters. Rather all else, other than the spiritual aim, has been the consequence - almost the by-product - of their search for helping man reach perfection through the Spiritual Exercises of ECK.
