Akashic records

Akashic records (ah-KAH-sheek) The Akashic records are daily tally sheets of past lives spent on the Physical Plane and Astral Plane. This book of records is stored on the Causal Plane. The Akashic records are the total accounting of your good and bad karma - how you stand with karma in your life today.

With training, those with the aptitude and interest can learn to read the Akashic records and see their past lives. In Eckankar, chelas access their own records via the Mahanta's guidance either in the dream state or via Soul Travel.

Besides the Akashic records, their two other readings: the Soul records and the ECK-Vidya. The Soul reading is a fuller account of past lives spent in all the lower worlds, from the first incarnation to the present. The ECK-Vidya inspects the future through a minute-by-minute or day-by-day analysis that occurs in higher states of awareness.

Only the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master has the training to read any of these records for others, although a few chelas do undergo the training to learn to read their own.
