Self-surrender

self-surrender The spiritual practice of releasing attachment and trusting the Master's love in all things.

It it the process of first doing everything we can do to resolve a situation ourselves. We then release the issue to Divine Spirit to handle in whatever way is for the spiritual good of all. We release our attachment to the outcome in a state of acceptance.

Surrender to the Master, who is the instrument of the ECK, is the great pleasure of life. The spiritual surrender is not to be confused with its worldly connotation; it relates only to the inner self.

The ECK Initiate learns that by self-surrender he does not resist life, but goes along with it in an active manner.
