month(s) of the ECK-Vidya These twelve periods of the ECK-Vidya wheel correspond to months of the year and signify major experiences Soul goes through in Its many incarnations.
The names and major experiences are as follows:
- Astik (January), the step where Soul's primary search is for courage for all future incarnations
- Uturat (February), the period which brings Soul great concern for love, companionship, and wealth
- Garvata (March), the stage during which Soul is restless and has a great sense of urgency
- Ebkia (April), the journey where Soul's primary search is for peace
- Ralot (May), the phase where there is a need for the outward manifestation of Soul's inner search
- Sahak (June), the era when Soul seeks a resting place where It can work out Its destiny in peace and quiet
- Kamitoc (July), the stage where freedom comes through knowledge
- Mokshove (August), the step which brings the translation of spiritual knowledge into great truths by Soul
- Dzyani (September), the journey of high success, power, achievement, and splendor
- Parinama (October), A quiet period in the journey of Soul, where It strives for the common good - not for glory, but for honor
- Hortar (November), the era where Soul begins to seek liberation
- Niyamg (December), the phase where loose ends of Soul's incarnations are gathered up
